You wrote “everyone says just go” as though the advice were the obstacle. It isn’t. Two years of not going is itself a decision you keep making, and it is worth asking what it is protecting.
“Leave” is carrying two different things at once here — leaving the work, and leaving the people. You may want one and not the other, which would explain why the whole question never resolves.
Nothing in what you wrote says where you’d go instead. That absence may be the actual question.
